[Building a system for efficient mass production while maintaining quality.] This is a crucial task in building a production system that efficiently mass-produces products and parts. A major role is to create a system that allows for mass production while maintaining the product quality required by customers. The work is diverse, encompassing everything from identifying and improving production issues for existing products to setting up new production lines and expanding or constructing factories. The fields in which Daicel's process engineers can work are extremely diverse, including considering scaling up new products, increasing production of existing products, quality improvement, productivity improvement, and building new production processes. Furthermore, the technical staff in the production department supports Daicel's manufacturing at its core by maintaining and managing the production management system, which has earned high praise as the "Daicel Production System," while also working on updating it to a new "autonomous production system" utilizing AI. *The "Production Technology" department includes tasks such as process development, plant operation management, and quality assurance.
