Image-based AI Development Group Manager
Work Detail
To acquire, promote, and manage R&D projects handled by the Image Group, and to strengthen the organizational structure, you will primarily be responsible for the following tasks in cooperation with the R&D Manager, Deputy Manager, and other group managers: * Jointly direct, manage, and evaluate a group of approximately 10 members with one other leader. * Collaborate with sales members to understand client needs and propose R&D projects to clients. * Maintain an overview and manage the status of multiple individual projects (approximately 5) managed by individual project leaders. (Decision-making regarding additions/reductions of personnel, materials, and funds / Delegation/intervention in project promotion tasks) * Provide guidance and training to group members (especially project leaders). (*Please note that practical coding work is not expected. We expect you to be able to provide technical advice from a high-level perspective.)
Ideal Profile
Required Skills * 5+ years of product development/R&D experience in areas such as image recognition and machine learning (including research at university/graduate school). * Project management experience in areas such as image recognition and machine learning. (目安: 3+ years of experience as a leader/manager in a department/group/team with 5 or more subordinates.) * English proficiency sufficient for basic communication in 1-on-1 meetings and performance reviews with non-native Japanese speakers (目安: TOEIC 720 or higher). * Native-level Japanese proficiency Preferred Skills * Experience submitting, presenting, and peer-reviewing papers at international conferences/domestic and international journals. * PhD * Activity record in academic societies in the field of image recognition and machine learning. * English proficiency sufficient for technical discussions with non-native Japanese speakers (目安: TOEIC 800 or higher). * Experience in patent creation/intellectual property strategy planning Desired Candidate Profile * Individuals with a strong desire and interest in researching, developing, and implementing services needed in society by utilizing cutting-edge AI technology that is becoming increasingly generalized. We are looking for someone who is not bound by existing rules, but is dedicated to creating appropriate rules to improve the organization and leading the team in that direction.
Work Location
Fully remote work is acceptable (location of residence is not a factor, as long as you are within Japan).
Phd. Stating Salary
Annual salary: ¥6,000,000 - ¥10,000,000 * The above amount includes deemed overtime pay for 25 hours per month.
