ROMS is currently developing and introducing a robot piece-picking system with master-less for food and consumer goods in the retail industry. The Robotics System & Computer Vision Engineer will be involved in product development in order to further develop our business and expand the market, including the design, development, and implementation of new functions in the following areas: - Technology development for robot systems (manipulation, interface with external devices, construction of backbone systems) -Designing and programming robotics software - On-site system start-up and maintenance (environment construction, operation check, data acquisition, and analysis, etc.) (We expect the Engineer to engage in their area of ​​expertise upon joining, but you are welcome to take on new challenges in related areas.)

Ideal Profile

Required Experience developing in robotic systems using articulated robot manipulation, other sensors and actuators, etc. At least 2 years of Python or C++ experience Linux development experience (mainly Ubuntu) Team development experience using Git and GitHub (or similar VCS) Knowledge of linear algebra and three-dimensional geometry English: business level or above Japanese language skill is not required. Welcomed Knowledge and experience with software development processes (Docker, Scrum, CI/CD) Programming experience utilizing OSS applicable to the robotics field such as ROS Experience in robot integration/manufacturing equipment start-up Knowledge of peripheral devices (sensors/PLC/actuators) Knowledge of computer vision and image recognition with AI Experience in software quality assurance Master's or PhD degree in computer engineering, information engineering, or a robotics related field
